SCR receives recognition from Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle
The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2009.
South Coast Repertory’s production of The Happy Ones by Julie Marie Myatt was honored with The Ted Schmitt Award. This award is given for the world premiere of an outstanding new play and is accompanied by an offer to publish and a $1000 check funded by Samuel French, Inc.

An additional congratulation to Sibyl Wickersheimer for receiving The Bob Z Award for career achievement in set design. Sibyl has worked with SCR as a set designer for numerous productions including Our Mother’s Brief Affair, Charlotte’s Web and James and the Giant Peach.
